Institutional Resources

Consult the University Writing Program for information on Writing in the Discipline (WID) requirements and current PSC WID offerings.

The GW Writing Center operates out of Gelman Library and Eckles Library. For more information and to book an appointment, check out their website. Their page also provides general information on writing strategies.

The GW Language Center supports foreign language learning. It also houses GW’s English for Academic Purposes Program, which provides support for non-native speakers of English.

GW Libraries is the point of departure for information on the Gelman, Eckles, and Virginia Science and Technology Campus libraries. Gelman Library maintains a Research Guide specifically for Political Science.

The GW Office of Academic Integrity communicates the University’s code of academic integrity and establishes procedures governing academic integrity hearings.

Take time to pore over the GW Center for Undergraduate Fellowships & Research’s information on how to fund your research, travel, internships, and graduate work. We encourage students to check in with the Center early in their studies—grants are available throughout your time at GW, not simply for graduating seniors.
