Joe Cerrone is a third-year Ph.D. student who explores the nexus between political values, migration, and democracy—with a focus on contemporary Europe. In his research, he seeks to understand why citizens support anti-immigrant and anti-establishment parties, as well as how elite framing influences public perceptions of so-called ‘others,’ including migrants and ethnic minorities.
