Danning is a Ph.D. student in political science at the George Washington University. Her research interests include the intersections between corruption, anti-corruption enforcement, development, and regime legitimacy under authoritarian regimes. Born and growing up in China, she received her MA in political science at the University of Chicago and her BA in politics with a minor in gender & sexuality studies at New York University.
