Eleanor is a PhD candidate in international relations and comparative politics. Her research interests include Chinese foreign and domestic policy, and China’s participation in global governance. Prior to her PhD, she worked as the Asia writer for the explanatory journalism arm of the Council on Foreign Relations. She received a dual-degree masters from Sciences Po in Paris, France and Fudan University in Shanghai, China, and a bachelor's degree from Vassar College.
