Eleanor is a PhD student concentrating in international relations and comparative politics. Her research interests are in the evolving nature of Chinese power and how it exerts its influence and builds relationships. Prior to her PhD, she worked as the Asia writer for the explanatory journalism arm of the Council on Foreign Relations. She received a dual-degree masters from Sciences Po in Paris, France and Fudan University in Shanghai, China, and a bachelor's degree from Vassar College.
