Michael Goff specializes in U.S. political institutions, including the American Presidency and the U.S. Congress, and U.S. elections. His book The Money Primary: The New Politics of the Early Presidential Nomination Process (Rowman & amp; Littlefield, 2005) addresses the pre-candidacy phase of the presidential nomination process, including the role of money and the media. His Ph.D. in Government is from Georgetown University. In addition to teaching at George Washington University, Dr. Goff is President and CEO of the Northeast-Midwest Institute, a non-partisan policy education organization in Washington, D.C.
