Clarence Stone (Ph.D., Duke University, 1963) is Research Professor of Political Science and Public Policy. His teaching interests center on urban politics and comparative local politics. His research interests include the theory and practice of local democracy, urban education, and the local agenda-setting process. Stone is also Professor Emeritus at the University of Maryland.
