Aaron Meek is a third-year Ph.D. student studying American politics and quantitative research methods. His research focuses on American judicial politics, with an emphasis on the strategic context within which judges operate. He is also interested in the relationships between courts and other political institutions, the influence of public opinion on judicial behavior, and the application of machine learning approaches to the study of legal development. Aaron is from Rochester Hills, Michigan, and received his B.A. in Political Science and Prelaw from Michigan State University and his M.A. in Political Science from George Washington University. Outside of academic work, he enjoys spending time at the piano, watching Spartan football, and hanging out with his nieces and nephews.
