Kerin Shilla is a Ph.D. student whose research focuses on international legal compliance, human rights and institutions. She is primarily concerned with the dynamics of international human rights law development, compliance, and efficacy.
Prior to her graduate studies, she worked for the Africa Program at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS), and the Technology and Human Rights Division at Human Rights Watch. Born in Tanzania, Kerin holds a B.A. in Political Science with a minor in International Relations from the Macaulay Honors College at CUNY Hunter College in New York City.
