Shannon McQueen is a fifth-year doctoral candidate at George Washington University. Her research interests center on women in politics, identity and behavioral politics, and descriptive representation. She focuses on the efficacy of women's organizations and the impact on the partisan gender gap.
She previously received a B.A. in Political Science and English at Saint Michael's College, and M.A in American Politics and Public Policy from George Washington University. In addition to academics, Shannon works as an undergraduate advisor for the GWU political science department.
