Nursing homes were at the epicenter of the pandemic, but research led by political science professor Adam Dean shows residents and workers fared best in unionized facilities.

According to a study led by Assistant Professor of Political Science Adam Dean and published in the journal Health Affairs, residents and workers at unionized nursing homes experienced lower mortality and infection rates than their non-unionized counterparts.
